Menopause is a time of change
Your body, energy, sleep, emotions and the way you respond to stress can all feel different during perimenopause and menopause.
You may be sleeping less well, feeling more tired, finding stress harder to manage or simply feeling that the things that used to work for you don't seem to work in quite the same way anymore.
This afternoon is a chance to step away from the demands of everyday life, learn something useful and consider what might support you now.
No quick fixes. No pressure to change everything.
Just practical ideas, space to reflect and time to consider what works for you.
What we'll explore
Ayurveda & everyday wellbeing with Marcia Black
Ayurveda is a traditional system of health and wellbeing with a strong focus on daily routines, food, rest and living in tune with the seasons.
I'll introduce some simple Ayurvedic ideas that may be useful during menopause, including ways of thinking about:
food and nourishment
daily routines and rest
digestion and energy
sleep and evening routines
adapting your lifestyle as your needs change
The aim isn't to give you another list of things you "should" be doing. It's about understanding your own needs and finding realistic changes that fit your life.
Breathwork with special guest Lottie Saunders
Breath is something we carry with us all day, every day — and the way we breathe can change when we're stressed, tired or overwhelmed.
Lottie will introduce practical breathwork techniques and explore how they can be used as part of everyday life.
You'll have the opportunity to experience some practices for yourself and consider when they might be useful — whether you're feeling stressed, need a moment to pause or simply want to create a little more space in your day.
Emotional wellbeing & mindset with Cat Rowley
Menopause can be a time of physical change, but it can also prompt questions about identity, confidence, relationships, work and what you want from the next stage of life.
Cat will guide you through some practical approaches to emotional wellbeing and reflection.
There will be time to pause, think and consider what you need — without judgement or pressure.
