Menopause Yoga & Wellbeing workshop
Practical tools to support your body, breath and wellbeing through perimenopause and menopause.
A collaboration between Steel City Yoga and Belief maker Coaching.
Feeling like your body and mind have changed during menopause?
Join Marcia from Steel City Yoga and Cat from Belief Maker Coaching for a supportive two-hour workshop exploring yoga, Ayurveda, breath, relaxation and emotional wellbeing.
You'll have time to slow down, learn practical tools and reflect on what you need during this stage of life.
No previous yoga experience is needed.
Menopause can affect more than your hormones
Perimenopause and menopause can bring changes that affect how you feel physically and emotionally.
You might notice:
changes in sleep or energy
feeling more stressed or overwhelmed
difficulty concentrating or "brain fog"
changes in your body and mobility
feeling less confident in yourself
a sense that the things that used to work for you no longer do
You don't need to simply put up with these changes.
This workshop offers a chance to pause, understand yourself a little better and explore simple practices that can support you through this transition.
More than a yoga class
This isn't a yoga class with a menopause label.
We bring together Viniyoga, Ayurveda and emotional wellbeing to look at the whole person — your body, breath, mind and everyday life.
The aim isn't to give you another list of things you should be doing.
Instead, you'll explore practical tools that you can adapt and take away with you.
You'll explore:
Viniyoga
A steady, breath-led approach to yoga that can be adapted to your individual needs. We'll use mindful movement to explore mobility, stability, balance and ease.
Breath & relaxation
Simple breathing and relaxation practices that can help you pause, settle and become more aware of how you're feeling.
Ayurveda
An introduction to Ayurvedic principles and how they can inform everyday choices around food, routine, rest and self-care during menopause.
Emotional wellbeing
With Cat, you'll have space to reflect on the changes you're experiencing, explore your thoughts and feelings, and consider what might help you feel more confident and supported.
What to expect
The workshop combines discussion, movement, reflection and time to connect.
1. Understand
We'll explore some of the physical and emotional changes that can happen during perimenopause and menopause.
2. Move
Take part in a gentle, breath-led Viniyoga practice designed to help you move with greater awareness, stability and ease.
3. Breathe & relax
Learn simple breathing and relaxation practices that you can use outside the workshop.
4. Reflect
Cat will guide you through practical coaching and journalling exercises to help you reflect on where you are now and what you need.
5. Take something home
You'll leave with simple ideas and practices you can incorporate into everyday life — rather than a long list of things to remember.
An introduction to Ayurveda for menopause
Ayurveda offers a traditional approach to understanding wellbeing through food, daily routine, rest and lifestyle.
During the workshop, Marcia will introduce some simple Ayurvedic principles and explore how they may be applied to everyday life during menopause.
We'll look at practical areas such as:
daily routines
food and nourishment
rest and recovery
managing busy or unsettled periods
creating more balance in everyday life
You don't need any previous knowledge of Ayurveda.
Making space for the person behind the symptoms
Menopause isn't only a physical experience.
It can also be a time when you question your confidence, identity, relationships, priorities or what you want from the next stage of your life.
Cat from Belief Maker Coaching will guide you through simple reflective exercises and journalling prompts to help you explore what you're experiencing and what matters to you now.
There is no pressure to share anything you don't want to.
This is simply a chance to stop, reflect and listen to yourself.
