Let’s be honest: the menopause can be a bit of a slog.
One minute you’re fine, and the next you’re peeling off layers because of a sudden hot flush, wondering where you left your keys (again), or feeling a wave of anxiety for no particular reason. If you feel like your body has been hijacked and you’re just trying to keep your head above water, you are definitely not alone!
At Steel City Yoga, we wanted to create something that wasn’t just "another exercise class." We wanted a space where you can turn up, be yourself, and actually get some practical help.
Our Menopause Workshop on Sunday, 1st February, is designed to be exactly that. No fluff, just real support.
What’s in it for you?
We know your time is precious, so we’ve packed the afternoon with things that actually make a difference to your day-to-day life:
Physical relief: You’ll learn gentle movements to help with those stiff joints and the general "heaviness" that often comes with hormonal shifts.
A bit of peace and quiet: We’ll show you how to use your breath to dial down that "always-on" feeling and help you feel more grounded when things get overwhelming.
Better sleep (hopefully!): We’ll share some simple habits and "cool down" tricks that can help you get a more restful night.
The "It’s Not Just Me" factor: Honestly, one of the biggest benefits is just being in a room with other women who get it. There’s a huge relief in realizing you aren't "going crazy"—it's just a transition.
What you’ll take home
You won’t leave empty-handed. We want you to have a "toolkit" for those days when the menopause feels like it’s winning:
A Simple Yoga Poses: Movements you can actually do at home in your leggings (or PJs) to help you feel more like yourself.
Breathing Techniques: "First-aid" breathing for when a hot flush hits or when you feel a surge of panic.
Real-Life Advice: Practical tips on food, sleep, and lifestyle from an Ayurvedic perspective that aren't impossible to stick to.
Mindset Shifts: Emotional coaching tools to help you navigate the mood swings and the "brain fog" without being so hard on yourself.

That is absolutely fine. You don't need to be flexible, you don't need fancy gear, and you don't need to have ever stepped foot in a studio before. This afternoon is for every woman—whether you’re just starting to notice changes or you’re well into post-menopause.
Come as you are. Whether you're tired, grumpy, or just curious, you'll be very welcome.
